Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay Movie Review, G Ashok who is known for making the Telugu film Bhaagamathie and its Hindi remake Durgamati directed KKHJ and it is hard to believe how the man made such a bad film. Kuch Khatta Ho Jaay is just khichdi which is not even tasty. There are too many things going on in the first half of the movie and there is no logic to it at all. Even if we forget logic and look at it as a light-hearted comedy, it still needs to at least make us laugh, but it doesn’t.

Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay Movie Review, The narrative in the first half moves so fast that when the interval approaches, you feel that the film might be coming to an end. In the second half, the emotional scenes will come and they are so funny that you will laugh at those scenes. Yes, you read that right! The dialogues and situations in the emotional scenes are so bad that they make you laugh out loud. Also, lest we forget, it’s 2024 and we still have homophobic jokes in the movie. As the character says, Andar Meetha Hai.

The dubbing and editing in the film is simply pathetic. There are cuts like some college student edited it or maybe they can edit it better.

Kuch Khatta Ho Jaay Cast

Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay Movie Review, Performance wise, Anupam Kher and lla Arjun steal the show. Kher does some good scenes and is good in them and Arun will definitely make you laugh out loud in some scenes. Guru Randhawa has a very good image and clearly deserved a better debut. Saiee Manjrekar has shown a lot of improvement, she just needs to work on her dialogue a little more and she will touch the sky. Other actors like Paresh Ganatra, Paritosh Tripathi and Atul Srivastava are wasted. It really hurts to see how badly South American comedian Brahmanandam was wasted in his cameo and given a poor role.

The music of the movie is good. But again, if we give logic here, the movie is set in Agra, but all the songs are Punjabi compositions.

Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay Movie Review, Kuch Khatta Ho Jaay is a must-skip movie. Even if it comes to OTT, you can skip it. Why waste time? Filmibeat actually did an interview with Guru and Saiee and it’s funnier than this movie, you can check it out below.
